Jose Mourinho defends Manchester United’s £89m Paul Pogba fee

Jose Mourinho has defended the reported £89m transfer fee Manchester United are set to pay for Paul Pogba but did admit football has become "crazy".

The Old Trafford club are on the brink of bringing the French midfielder back to Manchester for a world record fee after Juventus confirmed that they had allowed him to undertake a medical ahead of the proposed move.

 However, speaking after his side beat Leicester 2-1 to win the Community Shield at Wembley, Mourinho said the club should be proud they could attract players like Pogba and compared it to Gareth Bale's record-breaking move to Real Madrid from Tottenham in 2013.


"I don't think Real Madrid were upset when they broke the record with Gareth Bale. I don't think it is a reason to be sad," he said. "It is a reason to be proud with the dimension of the club that can do that and can attract players of this dimension.
"If you ask me if I think it is a lot of money, I think football is crazy, the market has become crazy. 

"What you think this season is crazy you realise three years later is not crazy anymore. I think there are players who cost £10m who are super expensive because they are players £400,000 or £500,000 or £1m so what is expensive and not expensive in football? I don't know anymore.
"I just know he is a big player that is going, for sure, to be important for a big club like Man United."

 Mourinho also believes that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will become even more prolific as the team adapts to a new style of play after the striker scored an 83rd-minute header to win the Wembley tie on Sunday after Jamie Vardy had cancelled out Jesse Lingard's opener.

Kuala Lumpur: Jurulatih perseorangan lelaki negara, Hendrawan sedar anak buahnya, Datuk Lee Chong Wei memiliki perwatakan pemain yang mampu meraih pingat emas Sukan Olimpik Rio 2016.
Menurut jurulatih kelahiran Indonesia itu, perwatakan Chong Wei untuk meraih emas dapat dilihat dengan pemain nombor satu dunia itu mempunyai tekad membara untuk mengharungi Olimpik bulan depan.
“Seperti saya cakap sebelum ini, dia sekarang berbeza dari segi kematangan dan pemikiran. Dia kini semakin hebat,” kata Hendrawan.
Jelasnya, hampir semua kejohanan Chong Wei berjaya merangkul gelaran dan dari segi kematangan, pemenang perak Sukan Olimpik 2008 (Beijing) dan 2012 (London) itu dijangka mampu mengawal situasi dalam penampilan keempat temasya itu, bulan depan.
“Dari segi usia dan fizikal, memang tidak sama dulu, tapi kelebihannya sekarang kematangan dan cara pemikiran dalam menghadapi perlawanan,” kata Hendrawan yang muncul juara dunia 2001 di Seville.
Gandingan antara Chong Wei dan Hendrawan sambil dibantu seorang lagi jurulatih perseorangan lelaki negara, Tey Seu Bock berjaya membentuk gandingan mantap sehingga membolehkan pemain berusia 33 tahun itu merampas semula gelaran nombor satu dunia.
Hendrawan banyak memainkan peranan meningkatkan semula semangat Chong Wei yang sebelum ini gagal ujian doping sehingga menyaksikan dia digantung lapan bulan dan tergelincir ke ranking 180 dunia.
Kini Chong Wei sudah bersedia untuk membawa cabaran negara ke Olimpik Rio, walaupun musuh tradisi, Lin Dan dijangka menjadi penghalang paling sukar buatnya bagi merealisasikan impian meraih emas sulung negara.
Dia juga dilantik Majlis Olimpik Malaysia (MOM) untuk membawa Jalur Gemilang pada upacara pembukaan rasmi temasya itu nanti.
Skuad badminton negara yang diketuai Chong Wei turut dibarisi Tee Jing Yi (perseorangan wanita), Goh V Shem-Tan Wee Kiong (beregu lelaki), Vivian Hoo-Woon Khe Wei (beregu wanita) dan Chan Peng Soon-Goh Liu Ying yang akan bertolak ke Brazil hujung bulan ini.


My view

Setuju dengan pandangan Hendrawan, memang taruhan utama negara untuk raih emas di RIO masih lagi beliau. Aku cuma harap tiada last minit injury terjadi kat Dato. Masa sekarang ni memang kritikal sangat dan pemain memerlukan perhatian yang lebih.

Untuk acara lain , secara peribadi aku merasakan masih ada peluang untuk Malaysia meraih sebarang pingat tetapi ia mestilah berpandukan draw perlawanan nanti. Aku mengharap sangat our WD pair boleh membuat kejutan.

Manchester United sign Zlatan Ibrahimović

Manchester United is delighted to announce the signing of Swedish international striker Zlatan Ibrahimović.

Ibrahimović, 34, made 180 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain, scoring 156 goals. He has won championships in four different leagues since beginning his professional career with Malmo in 1999. Zlatan represented his country 116 times, scoring 62 goals, before announcing his retirement from international football last month.
