Terima Kasih Sports Affairs

Semalam hari terakhor aku di Sports Affairs badminton Academy . Hampir 2 tahun aku berkhidmat disana.

Terima Kasih

Carolina Marin Falters Again – Dubai World Supeseries Finals: Day 2 Session 2

Women's Singles Group B is set for a tantalising finish after Akane Yamaguchi beat Olympic champion Carolina Marin in a late match today at the Dubai World Superseries Finals.
With top contender Pusarla V Sindhu also falling, to Sun Yu, the group was thrown open. The final group matches tomorrow will decide the semi-finalists.
Japan's Yamaguchi sustained her pacy style even in the late stages of the match to outlast Spain's Marin 18-21 21-17 21-14 in 86 minutes, the longest match of the tournament thus far.
Earlier, Sun Yu got her second big win on successive days, beating crowd favourite Pusarla V Sindhu 21-15 21-17.
After an uneven start, Pusarla had things going her way for a while in the second, working the shuttle around and flicking quick winners. That she couldn't capitalise on a handy 13-9 lead and push the contest into a third game was the story of the match - at important phases the Indian switched to a reactive rather than creative mode, enabling Sun to grab the initiative with her heavy smashes from the back. Once the momentum shifted, the Indian slowly faltered in a clutch of errors, and Sun had the match under control.
In contrast to Group B, the semi-finalists from Group A were decided today, with Tai Tzu Ying joining Sung Ji Hyun into the knockout stage. World No.1 Tai was untroubled by the less-than-fully-fit Ratchanok Intanon (Thailand) as she eased to a 21-12 21-14 result. Intanon, still recovering from a knee injury, was tentative around the court and gave Tai all the openings she needed to quickly finish the job.
'I just commenced training two weeks ago,' said Intanon. 'The first week was about trying to move. I'm getting better. The injury happened before the Olympics, but after that it kept getting worse. I do feel bad missing out on tournaments, especially since so many young players are coming up.'
Li/Liu Crash Out
Malaysia's Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong won a thrilling 58-minute battle against Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen to cement their semi-final place from Group B of Men's Doubles.
Li/Liu second loss meant that they have no hope of progressing to the knockout stage.
Goh and Tan kept their nerve in a tight finish, edging past the Chinese duo 18-21 21-19 21-19. The Malaysians' next match with China's Chai Biao/Hong Wei will decide the group winners.
Meanwhile, in Mixed Doubles, defending champions Chris Adcock/Gabrielle Adcock find themselves in a spot after losing to China's Zheng Siwei/Chen Qingchen 21-17 21-17. The England duo have to win tomorrow's match against China's Lu Kai/Huang Yaqiong, but even that will not guarantee them of a spot in the semi-finals.
Olympic champions Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir bowed out of the tournament owing to Natsir's knee injury. The Indonesians retired at 21-8 11-6 down against Denmark's Joachim Fischer Nielsen/Christinna Pedersen. The Danes and another Indonesian pair, Praveen Jordan/Debby Susanto, progressed to the semi-finals.

Arsene Wenger wants Arsenal to maintain momentum in Premier League

Arsene Wenger is confident Arsenal will get back on track after their surprise League Cup exit when they face London rivals West Ham on Saturday.
Wenger's side were beaten 2-0 at home by Southampton in the quarter-finals on Tuesday, while West Ham also crashed out of the competition with a 4-1 thrashing at Manchester United.
×But while they have that unhappy experience in common the two London clubs have had contrasting fortunes so far this seasonArsenal have once again qualified from their Champions League group and are in contention to challenge for a first English title since 2004.
Slaven Bilic's Hammers, on the other hand, suffered an early Europa League exit and, in their first season with the London Stadium as their new home, have amassed just 12 points from their first 13 league fixtures to sit precariously above the relegation places.
Looking for a quick recovery, Wenger is confident Arsenal will banish the memory of their Cup disappointment, which ended their 19-game unbeaten run in all competitions.
"I don't think I can moan about the momentum in the Premier League," he said.
"I knew that in the League Cup that could happen, but it was more disappointing to lose the game than the run we have. We want to keep the run in the Premier League going now."
Arsenal will have to do without Santi Cazorla however as the Spain play-maker has been ruled out for three months by an ankle injury.
Massive derby
Cazorla was injured in October but instead of a November return that had initially been expected he will now fly to Sweden next week for surgery on his right leg
West Ham have had injury problems of their own with Andy Carroll missing since August with a knee injury and fellow forward Diafra Sakho ruled out for six weeks by a hamstring problem.
Carroll scored a hat-trick in West Ham's home match with Arsenal last season, which ended 3-3, and could return for the latest installment.
Ashley Fletcher, the pre-season signing from Manchester United, started against his old club on Wednesday however and his goal will have boosted the 21-year-old's chances of keeping the shirt.
"It can only give me a lot of confidence getting my first goal for West Ham and I go into every game thinking I can score and now I have got my first one, hopefully many more will follow," Fletcher said.
"This is a massive London derby and every game in the Premier League is a tough game, but we know we can give Arsenal a good game.
"I will be hoping to start again on Saturday. The manager has got some tough decision as there is so much competition.
"I think Andy will be back on Saturday so it will be fierce competition for places in the striking role.

Bush and Gorbachev suggest Cold War is coming to an end

Meeting off the coast of Malta, President George Bush and Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev issue statements strongly suggesting that the long-standing animosities at the core of the Cold War might be coming to an end. Commentators in both the United States and Russia went farther and declared that the Cold War was over.

The talks were part of the first-ever summit held between the two leaders. Bush and his advisers were cautiously optimistic about the summit, eager to follow up on the steps toward arms control taken by the preceding Reagan administration. Gorbachev was quite vocal about his desire for better relations with the United States so that he could pursue his domestic reform agenda and was more effusive in his declarations that the talks marked an important first step toward ending the Cold War. The Russian leader stated, “The characteristics of the Cold War should be abandoned.” He went on to suggest that, “The arms race, mistrust, psychological and ideological struggle, all those should be things of the past.” Bush was somewhat more restrained in his statement: “With reform underway in the Soviet Union, we stand at the threshold of a brand-new era of U.S.-Soviet relations. It is within our grasp to contribute each in our own way to overcoming the division of Europe and ending the military confrontation there.”
Despite the positive spin of the rhetoric, though, little of substance was accomplished during the summit. Both sides agreed to work toward a treaty dealing with long-range nuclear weapons and conventional arms in 1990. Gorbachev and Bush also agreed that another summit would take place in June 1990, in Washington, D.C.

The Most Intelligent Presidents in U.S. History

#1 - John Quincy Adams

IQ: 168.8
College: Harvard University
Like his father, John Quincy Adams was an esteemed lawyer and a formidable presence in court (he earned a law degree from Harvard). He was also a brilliant statesman, negotiating several key international treaties. Remarkably, Adams was fluent in at least four languages and regularly translated Latin and ancient Greek as well.

Nico Rosberg's retirement statement

"Since 25 years in racing, it has been my dream, my 'one thing' to become Formula One World Champion. Through the hard work, the pain, the sacrifices, this has been my target. And now I've made it. I have climbed my mountain, I am on the peak, so this feels right. My strongest emotion right now is deep gratitude to everybody who supported me to make that dream happen.

"This season, I tell you, it was so damn tough. I pushed like crazy in every area after the disappointments of the last two years; they fuelled my motivation to levels I had never experienced before. And of course that had an impact on the ones I love, too - it was a whole family effort of sacrifice, putting everything behind our target. I cannot find enough words to thank my wife Vivian; she has been incredible. She understood that this year was the big one, our opportunity to do it, and created the space for me to get full recovery between every race, looking after our daughter each night, taking over when things got tough and putting our championship first.

"When I won the race in Suzuka, from the moment when the destiny of the title was in my own hands, the big pressure started and I began to think about ending my racing career if I became World Champion. On Sunday morning in Abu Dhabi, I knew that it could be my last race and that feeling cleared my head before the start. I wanted to enjoy every part of the experience, knowing it might be the last time… and then the lights went out and I had the most intense 55 laps of my life. I took my decision on Monday evening. After reflecting for a day, the first people I told were Vivian and Georg (Nolte, from Nico's management team), followed by Toto.

"The only thing that makes this decision in any way difficult for me is because I am putting my racing family into a tough situation. But Toto understood. He knew straight away that I was completely convinced and that reassured me. My proudest achievement in racing will always be to have won the world championship with this incredible team of people, the Silver Arrows.
"Now, I'm just here to enjoy the moment. There is time to savour the next weeks, to reflect on the season and to enjoy every experience that comes my way. After that, I will turn the next corner in my life and see what it has in store for me…"

Nico Rosberg retires from Formula 1

The German driver, 31, won the title less than a week ago, beating Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton to his first Drivers' Championship.
"When I won the race in Suzuka, from the moment when the destiny of the title was in my own hands, the big pressure started and I began to think about ending my racing career if I became world champion," said Rosberg. "On Sunday morning in Abu Dhabi, I knew that it could be my last race and that feeling cleared my head before the start."

Pentingnya pemanasan badan

Importance of Warming Up before Sport - Sports Injury Prevention

What is a warm-up?

A warm-up is a session which takes place prior to doing physical activity; usually a warm-up will consist of light cardiovascular exercises combined with stretches.

What happens in a warm-up?

Most warm-up sessions will include a combination of cardiovascular exercises, stretching and strength drills. The cardiovascular exercises are designed to increase circulation, increase body temperature and bring the heart rate up, while stretching warms the muscles and prepare them for the movements they will be required to carry out during the activity. Explosive strength exercises, which may include sprint drills or jumps, gently increase the level of intensity and prepare the body for sudden movements in the game which will follow; these exercises should only be done once the muscles are warm; this will prevent injuries.

Effects of the warm-up

The warm-up should gently prepare the body for exercises by gradually increasing the heart rate and circulation; this will loosen the joints and increase blood flow to the muscles. Stretching the muscles prepares them for physical activity and prevents injuries. The warm-up is also a good opportunity for an individual to prepare themselves mentally for the game ahead and for a team to work together prior to the start of the game. Warm-ups can also be used to practice skills and team drills.

How long should a warm up last?

Most warm up sessions last between 20 minutes and half an hour; this given the body plenty of time to gradually get ready for physical activity and gives the player time to prepare themselves mentally.

Preventing injury

The most important reason for doing a warm up is to prevent injury during exercise; keeping the muscles warm will prevent acute injuries such as hamstring strains and will stave off overuse injuries by allowing the body to prepare steadily and safely. In more static sports, such as cricket, it is a good idea to stretch throughout the game as this will keep the muscles warm and allow them to function effectively; substitutes should also continue to run and stretch while they are waiting to join a game; this is commonly seen in football matches where the substitutes jog, jump and stretch along the sidelines.

World junior team event - Malaysia tewaskan Indonesia

Congrats to our badminton junior team .

Good luck next game . 💪💪

Juara terbuka Brazil

Tahniah sekali lagi .....

Ganjaran - patut ke tidak

Olimpik kali ni... memang satu sukses buat Malaysia.

So... hargailaaa mereka... munkin anak anda berada ditempat mereka suatu hari nanti...

Syabas seluruh atlit Malaysia...

Malaysia negaraku....

Tamat edisi olympic kali ni. Kita masih lagi menunggu emas pertama negara.

Bangga menjadi rakyat Malaysia....

Terima Kasih

Rasanya kebanyakan kita x cukup tido hari ni. Semua tengok game penentuan Gold semalam. Cukup mendebarkan .

Cukup teratur. Game kedua ada sedikit hilang keyakinan.

Game ketiga laaa yang banyak membuatkan semua orang jadi x tentu arah. Mata saling berkejaran. Both pair cuba merapatkan jurang mata . Sama kuat . Sayang bukan hak kita.

Lepas game aku semua orang ada rasa kecewa tetapi bukan sebab mereka kalah tetapi sebab sikit lagi nak dapat emas tu. Performance ok pada aku. Ada juga beberapa pengkritik sukan alam maya kata mental x kuat sebab tu kalah.. jawapan aku ... cuba kau main tengok... jangan kata satu Malaysia tengok... cuma bagi orang kawasan perumahan kau jer tengok , aku rasa kau dah gabra...

Pada keseluruhan rakyat Malaysia , anda semua memang terbaik . Tetap sokong walaupun tewas . Satu Malaysia..

Dato Lee Chong Wei tetap pilihan saya

Apapun aku tetap harap DLCW menang malam ni....

Superb play

Wow....

Akhirnya kita berjaya .... berpeluh satu badan dibuatnya...

Pagi bangun terus bukak tv , sambil bersiap nak gi training . Maklumlaaa duduk KL kena keluar awal gi kerja. Jam dah kul 6.30am .. first game x habis lagi tapi tengah lead masa tu , ada terfikir nak gi kerja lambat , tapi memang x munkin laa kan . Aku pun text kat FB aku mintak tolong diaorang update .

Sampai kat tempat kerja , aku whatapp Peng Soon to say congrats... and apa yang dia reply kat aku sunguh mengharukan aku... tapi sorry aku xleh kongsi disini...

Hari yang cukup baik hari ini....

CHAN Peng Soon /GOH Liu Ying vs Robert MATEUSIAK /Nadiezda ZIEBA - RIO OLYMPICS

RIO olympic Q-Final draw

Ernmmmm....

Aku rasa pair ni laaaa yg kita xnak jumpa. Rekod pertemuan pun tak memihak kepada pasangan kita. Inilaaa terjadi jika undian dibuat berdasarkan cabutan undi .

Caiyokkkk...

GOH V Shem /TAN Wee Kiong vs FU Haifeng /ZHANG Nan - RIO OLYMPICS VIDEO

Saturday, 13 August 2016

Malaysia pilihan saya

Yakin pasangan kita mampu mara ke separuh akhir ...

RIO OLYMPICS -MIX DB DRAW Q-FINAL

Good luck Peng Soon & Liu Ying .

Ku Bon-Chan - extend Korean archery streak

Ku, who won the team gold with the Republic of Korea on 6 August, survived two nail-biting tiebreaks in the quarter-finals and semi-finals before fending off Valladont to win 7-3 at the Sambodromo.
I’m so happy,” said Ku, who along with his coach bowed to the crowd after his victory. “It's the most respectful way to give thanks to the spectators who cheered for me.”

Ku admitted that his coach had played a key part in the win, particularly his motivational talk before the match. “He said, ‘You're not focusing on your arrows, you're thinking about the other guy's arrows and the score, just focus on what you do’.”
The Republic of Korea became the third NOC after Belgium (8) in 1920 and USA (6) in 1904 to collect at least four gold medals in archery in a single edition of the Olympic Games. Ku’s victory also saw him become the second archer, after Justin Huish (USA) in 1996, to win both the men's team and men's individual golds at a single Games.

“I was pushing for gold but I had a bad shot, so I'm bringing home the bronze,” said Ellison. “I wasn't in the match [semi-final]. I knew if I wanted to come home with a medal that I needed to get in gear and get into this match. I shot 30 to get ahead and he opened the door for me. Thankfully, I was able to get through it.”

Sama kuat - Keong/Goh vs Fu/Zhang

Good luck ....

Carl Lewis Wins Long Jump Gold - Seoul 1988 Olympics ( HISTORY )

At the 1988 Seoul Games, Lewis defended his 100m title after Ben Johnson was disqualified. He also defended his long jump title and claimed silver in the 200m. Four years later in Barcelona, he won a third gold medal in the long jump, defeating world record holder Mike Powell by just three centimetres. He also anchored the world record-setting US relay team.

Korakaki adds gold to her Rio medal tally

Olympic debutant Anna Korakaki took gold in the women's 25 metre pistol event on 9 August in Rio, just two days after winning Greece’s first ever shooting medal in the 10 metre air pistol.

The 20-year-old Korakaki prevailed over Germany’s Monika Karsch, 13 years her senior, who mounted a late but ultimately unsuccessful rally to reel her young rival in, coming back from 6-0 down to 6-6, before Korakaki won the seventh five-shot round to secure an 8-6 victory overall.
Heidi Diethelm Gerber of Switzerland won the bronze medal, beating world No. 1 and world champion Zhang Jingjing of China to the final spot on the podium. Remarkably, the 47-year-old Swiss shooter only took up the sport at 33. After a disappointing showing at London 2012, she decided to give up her job as a bookkeeper to focus on the next Olympic cycle, and her dedication paid dividends.
After winning what was an incredibly tough and nerve-wracking final match, Korakaki jumped up and down and embraced her father, who had been so tense during the final rounds that he could not even bear to watch his daughter perform.
“We have been through many, many difficulties," reflected Korakaki, who burst into tears of joy on the podium. “I was about to quit shooting three years ago when I was 17.”

And she admitted that the fact she already had a medal in the bag meant she was able to approach her gold medal showdown without so many nerves. “I can say that winning the bronze [in the 10 metre air pistol] two days ago helped me because my mentality has changed," she explained. “It meant I was calmer and I only wanted to enjoy it and I did. But it was still a difficult match today.”
Now, says Korakaki, she is already looking forward to using her performance in Rio as the springboard for future success: “Goals never stop, so I am dreaming of more medals in my career.”
Defending Olympic champion Kim Jang-mi of the Republic of Korea narrowly missed out on qualification for the semi-final, and ended up in ninth place.

Republic of Korea’s Jin completes unique shooting hat-trick

The winner of Olympic gold in the event at Beijing 2008 and London 2012, Jin became the first shooter, male or female, to win the same shooting event at three consecutive Games and to land four individual shooting gold medals, the South Korean having also won 10m air pistol gold in the British capital four years ago.
Taking silver behind him was Vietnam’s Hoang Xuan Vinh, who won 10m air pistol gold on the opening day of Rio 2016, with Kim Song Guk of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea third.

Ranked no1 in the world, the 36-year-old Jin went in the final as the favourite, only to score a disappointing 6.6 with his ninth shot. That relegated him to seventh place, 5.2 points behind the then leader Kim, competing in his first ever international final. Showing why he is the world’s best, Jin fought his way back into contention, climbing up the scoreboard and overhauling his two fellow medallists to post an Olympic record total of 193.7 points.
Reflecting on his unique achievement, Jin, who also won 50m silver at Athens 2004 and 10m air pistol silver four years later, said: “I have won three gold medals at the Olympics, but this one is the happiest and most valuable because this was the most challenging competition and I was under the greatest pressure.

“I told myself: ‘Don’t give up. Don’t give up’,” he said of his faltering start. “I wanted to give up, I was doing so badly, but I said to myself this is my last Olympics. I cannot give up. I did badly in the 10m (air pistol) so I wanted to do better today. I felt nervous. I’m so glad I did well.”
After winning his country’s third shooting medal, bronze medallist Kim had this to say: “I didn’t do as well as expected. I wanted to do better, but in the end I got bronze. If I train harder, I think I will do better.”
